Materials You’ll Need:
- Strike Anywhere matches
- Cardboard
- Candle wax
- Cotton thread

- Gather Your Matches: Secure a pack of reliable Strike Anywhere matches. For areas where these aren’t available, we’ll discuss alternatives.
- Prepare Your Cardboard: Cut the cardboard into small strips – this will serve as a sturdy base for your match.
- Wrap the Match: Starting about a third of the way down, tightly wrap the cotton thread around the match, covering up to the tip. This increases burn time.
- Dip in Wax: Melt some candle wax and dip your thread-wrapped matches in it. This waterproofs your matches and extends their burn time.
- Let It Set: Give the matches time to dry. Once the wax is set, you’ve got yourself a Super Match!
- Striker Solutions: If you’re using non-Strike Anywhere matches, you’ll need a small piece of striking paper which can be attached to the cardboard.
